Yorkshire born and bred, Heidi is our CEO and Lead Facilitator, as well as Chief Cook & Bottle-washer.
She has many years’ experience as a coach, therapist, trainer, and mediator and is the driving force behind Glint, as well as being a Senior Practitioner and Tutor for LEAP, one of the UK’s lead providers of accredited Equine Facilitated Learning and Psychotherapy Practitioner Training.
Heidi has first-hand experience of the benefits of time spent with ponies, having experienced bullying as a young girl, and finding solace in their company.
30 years later, she had cause to reflect upon the strength they gave her; the courage to stand up for herself; the wisdom to see that it’s actually ok to be different to everybody else. Now, she takes those experiences and puts them to good use in the Equine Facilitated Learning and Therapy programmes she develops and delivers with Glint.
Heidi believes that interaction with horses and ponies can and does create real and lasting learning on many different levels.
Heidi’s skills as a professional, accredited coach, hypnotherapist and NLP practitioner underpin all of Glint’s activities and she’s happy working with each modality as a stand-alone service, but particularly enjoys being able to mix things up a bit and switch between different techniques to suit the occasion!
When she’s not working, Heidi still spends much of her time with her horses, sometimes riding, but mostly simply “being”. She also has a creative streak and enjoys creating fused glass jewellery, wall art and ornamental pieces – check out her Facebook page: @BayMoonCreative
