Our Team… They’re a Pretty Special Bunch!

The two and four-legged members of our team all bring their individual skills, talents, and characteristics to the mix, to ensure you have the best possible experience.

Let’s make some introductions:

Heidi Dawson
CEO & Lead Facilitator

Yorkshire born and bred, Heidi is our CEO and Lead Facilitator, as well as Chief Cook & Bottle-washer.

She has many years’ experience as a coach, therapist, trainer, and mediator and is the driving force behind Glint, as well as being a Senior Practitioner and Tutor for LEAP, one of the UK’s lead providers of accredited Equine Facilitated Learning and Psychotherapy Practitioner Training.

Heidi has first-hand experience of the benefits of time spent with ponies, having experienced bullying as a young girl, and finding solace in their company.

30 years later, she had cause to reflect upon the strength they gave her; the courage to stand up for herself; the wisdom to see that it’s actually ok to be different to everybody else. Now, she takes those experiences and puts them to good use in the Equine Facilitated Learning and Therapy programmes she develops and delivers with Glint.

Heidi believes that interaction with horses and ponies can and does create real and lasting learning on many different levels.

Heidi’s skills as a professional, accredited coach, hypnotherapist and NLP practitioner underpin all of Glint’s activities and she’s happy working with each modality as a stand-alone service, but particularly enjoys being able to mix things up a bit and switch between different techniques to suit the occasion!

When she’s not working, Heidi still spends much of her time with her horses, sometimes riding, but mostly simply “being”. She also has a creative streak and enjoys creating fused glass jewellery, wall art and ornamental pieces – check out her Facebook page: @BayMoonCreative

Zahra

2008 - 2022

Zahra was an Arab and embodied everything that Glint is about. She had a troubled life when she was younger, which meant that she was quite a shy girl. However, she learned to trust and flourished into the most beautiful, generous soul, touching the lives of so many of our clients through the support she gave them. She will always be missed

Lennie

Lennie is an Arab and a quietly courageous girl. She teaches us about adapting to change and about the importance of being present and “in the moment.”

Billy

Billy is a Welsh Cob and a very patient gentleman. Billy teaches us about anxiety and the importance of clear communication.

Gertie

Gertie is a Miniature Shetland and is full of mischief. Gertie teaches us about boundaries and that size really doesn’t matter if you set your mind on something!

Cloud

Cloud is an Arab and the youngest member of our team. He teaches us about taking time to explore new things and about the importance of having a leader he can trust and count on.

Our Co-facilitators & Collaborators

No man (or woman) is an island so, whilst Heidi delivers most of our programmes, she also has a small team of trusted Associates who support with group programmes in particular, but also with 1:1s where appropriate.

If collaboration is your thing, give Heidi a shout and you could be joining some of our regular Associates, including:
